A downloadable mod

Placeable Design Kit:

Version 1.0.0.2

This mod has been discontinued and replaced with the Design Kit mod found here:

https://thundrfs.itch.io/fs25-design-kit

All placeables using this version should continue to work with the newer Design Kit mod.

Thank you!

How the configuration works:

The configuration names you specify in modDesc are used to create the xml keys in the placeable.xml itself. For example, if you have the following in your modDesc (you can use anything for a name and title that you want).

<thPlaceableDesign>
    <configurations>
        <configuration name="myCustomConfig"/>
    </configurations>
</thPlaceableDesign>

The corresponding entries in your placeable xml would look like this:

<thPlaceableDesign>
    <myCustomConfigConfigurations>
        <myCustomConfigConfiguration/>
    </myCustomConfigConfigurations>
</thPlaceableDesign>

In other words, the game adds "Configurations" to the end of the configuration name to make the placeable xml keys. The rest follows the vanilla configuration format.

what do I type into on the configuration part where it says type="COLOR",

should i type in a hex code or what?

for the 81x180 shed btw

For the old version of the Placeable Design Kit, where you had to make the modDesc entries, there were two options there. One is DESIGN and the other is COLOR. The design one is for object changes and the color one is for selecting colors.

The new version of the Design Kit does not need the modDesc entries. You just follow the same pattern Giants uses.

For color, it's <thColor1Configurations> - <thColor8Configurations> in your placeable xml file.

For design it's <thDesign1Configurations> - <thDesign8Configurations> in your placeable xml file.

I am still a bit confused can you make a video of your screen on changing the code for that 81x180 shed?   It would be well appreciated!

or If i gave my email to you a emailed file that's already changed

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use this. Somehow the textures can be customized with 66x120Shop but not for 60x40Shed and 42x68 Shed. I apologize for my ignorance, I do not know coding or modding in the least. Do you have some sort of tutorial on how to make texures work on the other mods? Currently the buildings show with white out textures and no configuration options except for building 66x120Shop

If you are talking about the LJR sheds, it's because the configuration names are wrong in the xml files. The names in the placeable xml should match the names in the modDesc.

For example, if a configuration is named "outerWalls" in modDesc, the keys in the placeable would be <outerWallsConfigurations>, <outerWallsConfiguration>, etc. That's the vanilla naming, adding Configurations and Configuration respectively to the end of the configuration name. From there it follows the Giants vanilla configuration scheme.

If I can get ahold of LJR, I'll let him know.

nice work , I can make a generus donation to create a script for colormat in fs25 , I mean to allow us to change colors on mods

Are you talking about the colorScale shader parameters? If so, those will be supported in upcoming versions.

no I talk about the vehicles with colormat

ColorMat for vehicles is almost the same as ColorScale for placeables from a programming standpoint. At least as far as everything I've seen so far. That being said, I'll get some input and if it's something people want added, I'll look into adding it.
